Science fiction pulp magazines dominated the American landscape from the 1930s to the 1950's. Defined by poor quality paper, stories from unknown authors, and super exciting covers , pulps flooded the market. A number of authors went on to become very famouse, the magazines, died out. In May of 1954 this cover was created by a master of science fiction art, Alex Schomburg, showing a spaceman flying by jetpack with a helpless woman in his arms. Show more
