The 0.7g micro VHF transmitter model has a battery life of 43 days and often used on larger wader and gamebird chicks. The transmitter is usually glued on the back of the chick. Al l micro models are encapsulated with a very tough waterproof epoxy resin and come with a magnet-activated reed switch. Our transmitters have been designed and tested by wildlife biologists with extensive experience of radio-tracking various species around the world.
