The power supply unit (PSU) has one output that provides adjustable DC voltage and current. The operator can choose between high and low current settings to help improve stability and measurement accuracy. Two analog displays show voltage and current readings simultaneously. The output current can be adjusted using the fine and coarse control knobs on the PSU's front panel. Two PSUs can be connected in series to supply more voltage, or they can be connected in parallel to supply more current. A cooling fan helps prevent overheating, and built-in overload and reverse-polarity protection helps prevent damage to the PSU and the device under test.
