SKU 020122 New West Ear Plates for those split ear headstalls, the plates have a chicago screw fitting on the back to fasten it to the headstall. Horse Shoe Brand Hardware builds t hese ear plates in 2 different patterns, one version fits those headstalls with a central split which is more of an "oldtime" style- ( shown on left image below-1 1/2 wide by 2 in. long ) while the more modern version (shown on right-3/4 wide by 1 1/2 long) has the ear split leaning forward of the main headstall strap.
