A recent addition to the Wiinblad collection at The Scandinavian Shop are the Eva sisters, a pair of vases with the familiar round heads and long bodies reminiscent of vintage Wiinblad pieces. With soft Spring colours, decorative floral relief details and rosy cheeks, the vases are a superb contemporary interpretation of Scandinavian folk art - a throwback to Wiinblad's original work. Using the artist's own drawings for the gentle facial features and even the pattern on the dress design, there is an authenticity and a nostalgia about these vases which makes them so very likeable.
