2021 Fender Custom Shop Master Built 1957 Stratocaster Heavy Relic Violin Burst by Todd Krause has arrived! Crafted by Todd Krause, a Senior Master Builder who has created numerous instruments for the world’s top artists—including Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, David Gilmour, Robbie Robertson, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Robin Trower, and Roger Waters— Senior Master Builder Todd Krause, who has crafted instruments for many of the world’s top artists, including Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, David Gilmour, Robbie Robertson, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Robin Trower, and Roger Waters. It is a masterpiece where the quality of craftsmanship is evident in every detail. The 2-piece alder body features a “Heavy Relic” finish applied over a thin nitrocellulose lacquer. The neck is crafted from “Rift-sawn Maple.” The fingerboard radius is 9.5R, and the neck shape is a “10/56 ‘V’.” The V-shaped neck is designed to feel as if it’s suctioned to your hand, making bends and vibrato while gripping the neck extremely comfortable. It features “Narrow Tall 6105” frets and a 21-fret configuration. It is equipped with “Josefina Campos Hand-Wound 50s” pickups, hand-wound by master pickup winder Josefina Campos. It responds well to picking and delivers a bright, clear, vintage-style Strat tone . The control system is designed so that the tone control affects the bridge pickup as well, making it easy to shape your sound.
