We’ve just received a used ORIGIN EFFECTS Halcyon Gold Overdrive! The Halcyon Gold Overdrive is a classic overdrive pedal based on the Klon Centaur and featuring ORIGIN EFFECTS’ pr oprietary adaptive circuitry. This simple yet unique design results in a dynamic, interactive overdrive that adapts its voicing in response to changes in picking attack and the guitar’s volume. ORIGIN EFFECTS put a great deal of effort into accurately reproducing that legendary mid-forward voicing and the characteristics of vintage diodes that are no longer available, while also incorporating several innovative features that go beyond the original’s capabilities.
