Historical Significance In Magic: This effect has evolved from Micro Macro which was created by Brother John Hamman (September 3, 1927–December 5, 2000). In 1994, Michael Powers created a variation of Hamman's effect called Diminishing Returns. He recently updated his variation and called it, The New Diminishing Returns.
