Banjo-Tooie is a 3D platformer game developed by Rare and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64 console in 2000. It is the sequel to the popular game Banjo-Kazooie. In Banjo-Tooie, players once again control Banjo the bear and Kazooie the bird as they journey through a variety of levels to stop the evil witch Gruntilda from taking over the world. The game features more complex levels and puzzles than its predecessor, as well as new moves and abilities for the duo to use. One of the game's major new features is the ability for Banjo and Kazooie to separate, allowing the player to control each character independently and use their unique abilities to solve puzzles and explore the levels. The game also introduces a range of new characters and enemies, including Humba Wumba, who can transform Banjo and Kazooie into different creatures with unique abilities. Banjo-Tooie also features a range of mini-games and challenges, as well as a multiplayer mode where up to four players can compete against each other in various modes. Banjo-Tooie received critical acclaim for its immersive gameplay, expansive levels, and colorful graphics.
