We’ve received a shipment of the 4000pre, a model so limited in production that it was sold by lottery and rarely appears on the secondhand market The Zahnrad 4000pre preamp/booste r, released in 2018. Designed to be left on constantly as the cornerstone of a bass sound, it underwent a year of repeated refinements to optimize it for the system of Suspended4th bassist Hiromu Fukuda. Through trial and error, Mr. Fukuda and builder Kaoru Kunda honed the sound together, resulting in the birth of the first signature model: the nature sound 40000pre. Designed for professional use in the harsh conditions of a pro musician’s live performance environment, it is built with highly durable and reliable components.
