This is the JJ-5, a 5-string bass from MOON GUITARS, a pioneer in domestically produced component guitars. It features an ash body, a maple neck (neck stamp: 0251), a 21-fret maple fingerboard, Bartolini pickups (59572-S/59572-L) and a Bartolini NTCT preamp, with controls consisting of 2 volume knobs and a 2-band EQ, and is equipped with a Moon original bridge. This instrument delivers a solid, core-rich tone that’s ready for both live performances and recording, offering a wide range of sound-shaping possibilities. A finger rest has been added to the low-string side. There are signs of use (minor scratches, scuffs, wear, playing marks, picking marks, tarnish, pitting, and rust on metal parts and screws, etc.). The case shows signs of age and use. Setup (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, fret leveling, and buzz removal) was performed upon arrival. The frets are at a height suitable for playing, and the truss rod has been checked up to 60° in both directions and is in good working order.
