This is the EXPERT SERIES Expert OS/ASH from Fujigen (FGN), manufactured in 2016. This is a component model produced through Fujigen’s custom order system; Fujigen is one of Japan’ s leading, long-established manufacturers that handles a wide range of OEM production.It features a lightweight ash body, a one-piece maple neck, a 22-fret compound radius Circle Fretting System, GOTOH Magnum Lock and a Wilkinson VS100N bridge, and an FGN ES-V5 pickup set, along with volume, tone, a 5-way selector switch, and mini switches (front + rear). With meticulous attention to detail and a high level of craftsmanship, combined with the wide range of sound variations offered by the mini switches and live-performance-ready specs, this guitar is a ready-to-play instrument. The strap pins have been replaced with Schaller-type pins (no strap hardware on the strap side), and there are signs of use (cosmetic damage such as paint unevenness inside the tremolo cavity—presumably present since manufacture—as well as scuffs, playing marks, picking marks, and tarnish, pitting, or rust on metal parts and screws). It was set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, and fret leveling). The frets are at a height that poses no issues for playing, and the truss rod can be adjusted in both directions; it has been verified to function properly within a range of ±60°.
