A model recreating the 1964 SG Standard, featuring a light-aged finish by Murphy Lab’s skilled artisans and Grover tuners—exclusive to Japan. The body and neck are made of mahogany , the fingerboard is Indian rosewood, and it is equipped with Custombucker pickups. The frets have been leveled. The exposed wood on the front of the headstock is lighter in color compared to other areas where the finish has peeled off; therefore, it is possible that this area was not part of the original “Light Aged” finish but rather peeled off at a later date. There are some scuff marks on the fingerboard, and the pickguard has some playwear. Overall, the guitar shows signs of use due to the light-aged finish, but it is in good condition.
