These MDF boards are specifically designed for model making. With a thickness of only 1.0mm, they are ideal for laser cutting and can be easily cut using various methods with a cutter. These MDF sheets are also suitable for cutting with scissors and a guillotine. It can also be painted with both water based and spirit based paints. It is recommended that MDF is sealed before spraying with spirit based paints, this can be done by using diluted PVA or a primer. This photograph is a good representation of the wood and shows prominent marking over large areas. It may, therefore, be better painted. *PLEASE NOTE: These sheets of MDF are supplied to us as 1mm, we have found there may be +/- 0.2mm tolerance but mostly exactly 1mm. Whilst this item is compatible with being cut on a CO laser cutter, it is not suitable for diode-based machines (the material will burn and become too damaged to be useful for fine detail). ***All dimensions are nominal - sheets maybe supplied up to 2mm undersize on each edge***
