Buying a ¼ beef share is a great way to stock your freezer with high-quality beef while still buying in bulk at an excellent value. How It Works A $250 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your ¼ beef share.The remaining balance can be paid through a payment plan that works for you or in one final lump sum prior to pickup. With a ¼ beef share: A standard set of cuts is selected for you A half beef is split evenly between two customers Cut customization is not available on quarter shares Pricing & Processing Details All cut and wrap charges are included in your price per pound. Your total cost is calculated as: Hanging weight × price per pound + Idaho sales tax ¼ beef: $7.00/lb. (hanging weight) Processor: Sustainable Meats, Kuna, ID Packaging: Clear vacuum seal for maximum freshness Vacuum-sealed beef provides superior freezer protection and allows for a 1–2-year freezer life, making it easy to pull individual cuts as needed. Packaging & Box Fee Notice Due to rising packaging and supply costs as a small business, a box/packaging fee now applies to beef share orders: 1/4 Share: $20 1/2 Share: $40 Whole Share: $60 To avoid this fee, customers may bring their own coolers, totes, reusable bins, or boxes for pickup. If you bring your own containers, we will take our boxes back onsite. If we do not receive confirmation that you will bring your own containers, the box fee will be added to your final invoice. What to Expect for Yield Based on our most recent harvest: Average quarter beef hanging weight: 200–300 lbs. Take-home beef yield: ~55–57% of hanging weight(Example: ~120 lbs. of beef from a 212.5 lb. hanging weight) Weights will vary, as we finish each animal to meet our high standards for quality and consistency.
