The collection features stacking chairs in various recycled materials and an aluminium collection for heavy-duty environments. The 1 Inch Aluminium Frame taps into Emeco's heritage in hand crafting recycled aluminium, leveraging its signature strength, lightweight attributes and sustainability to create a versatile family of seats. With 1 inch series, the frame of each chair is handcrafted using Emeco's 77-step process - a technique that has been used to produce the original 1006 Navy Chair since 1944. Jasper Morrison developed the frame that uses only a one-inch profile throughout. This square extruded aluminium tube has the best strength-to-weight ratio possible to let the chair use the least amount of material whilst providing the maximum amount of strength. The recycled wood fibre and polypropylene seat has a speckled texture that gives the plastic a warmer, more natural touch. Thanks to the use of high-performance materials, the 1 Inch Side Chair is a robust, durable piece for indoor and outdoor settings.
