The Perth Mint Centenary Sovereign was issued in June 1999 to celebrate the origins of the Perth Mint. The $100 Bi-Metal Proof honours the historic role of the sovereign and the im portance of silver in the Mint's heritage as a major Australian gold and silver refiner since 1899.
