Herbaria: The Pressed Plant Collection of Beatrix Farrand Beatrix Farrand (1872-1959) stands among the leading twentieth-century landscape architects. A founding member (and first woman) of the American Society for Landscape Architects, Farrand created more than two hundred private gardens and landscapes in the United States and Great Britain.
