Letter from the Comptroller of the Treasury, Transmitting a List of Balances on the Books of the Second and Third Auditors of the Treasury, Which Have Remained Due More Than Three Years Prior to the 30th September, 1820; a List of the Names of Persons Who Have Failed to Render Their Accounts to the Said Auditors within the Year; and a List of Advances Made Prior to 3d March, 1809, by the War Department, Which Remained to Be Accounted for on the Books of the Third Auditor of the Treasury on 30th September 1820 This manuscript was prepared for the National Society United States Daughters of 1812 by LTC Linda L. Green, Librarian National. The manuscript is identical to the original publication except that the original publication used fold-out pages which made the book larger in thickness but fewer in pages with smaller print. As the original was published in 1820, some of the pages had become much worn or were torn/split at the fold. This was unfortunate because the splits were in the dollars/cents column. There are notes as to how this was handled on those pages affected. The pages were near the end of the original publication. Linda L.
