The Tennessee Valley Authority [TVA] grave removal records for the Cherokee Reservoir cover those cemeteries that were involved in Hawkins, Grainger, Jefferson and Hamblen Counties in upper east Tennessee. Included are the re-interment cemeteries as well. The plat maps of many of these cemeteries are all that are left since most of them were flooded when the reservoir was finished.
