Crittenden County, located on the Mississippi River in northeastern Arkansas, was created in 1825 from Phillips County. It was named for Robert Crittenden, first Secretary of the A rkansas Territory 1819-1829. This reprint, originally published by Goodspeed Publishing in 1889, contains memoirs and biographies of Crittenden County pioneers.
