Male citizens of the U.S. of 21 years of age and upwards Male citizens of U.S. of 21 years of age and upwards whose right to vote is denied or abridged on other grounds than rebellion or other crimes. [Editors note: most Confederates lost their right to vote just on the grounds of being a Confederate until they were all pardoned by the President and Congress.] Remember that in transcribing all records of this nature, errors will occur in spite of the best efforts of the transcriber.
