Anderson County, Kentucky was created in 1827 out of the lands of Franklin, Mercer and Washington Counties, Kentucky. The materials for the history and biographies are taken from t wo older volumes, History of Kentucky by Lewis Collins printed in about 1882 and Kentucky: A History of the State by W. H. Perin, J. H.
