Canaan, 1739-1852; Canterbury, 1703-1850 The fifth volume in Ms. White's serialization of the Barbour Collection of Connecticut town vital records is a transcription of the vital r ecords of the towns of Canaan and Canterbury, and it contains the birth, marriage, and death records of about 30,000 individuals. Entries are in strict alphabetical order by town and give, routinely, name, date of event, names of parents, names of children, names of both spouses, and items such as age, occupation, and residence.
