The Canadian Manufacturers' Association, founded 1871, was incorporated by Act of Parliament 1902 to promote Canadian industries and to further the interests of Canadian manufactur ers and exporters. The CMA's 1905 trip to Europe included sightseeing at Windsor Castle (including a brief audience with Edward VII), a reception with the London Chamber of Commerce, the Royal Ascot, industrial centres such as Birmingham, Sheffield, Liverpool, a brief excursion to Edinburgh and several days in Paris.
