Hahnemühle's Sumi-e Pad - lightweight Japanese-style paper for traditional brush painting and sumi-e ink work. The thin sheet drinks the ink and shows the brush's full tonal range from saturated black through to ghostly grey.Glued pad in 30x40cm, 20 sheets at 80gsm.Designed for traditional ink-stick and bottled sumi ink. Works with watercolour and Chinese brush painting too - but lift the pad off the desk first; this paper bleeds through to whatever's underneath.The thin, absorbent surface is what makes the medium work - it's not a flaw, it's the whole point.
