This is the first surviving census for Warwick, since both the 1790 and 1800 censuses have been lost. A complete index is included for easy access. Warwick was an important Chesape ake county with a heavy slave population outnumbering the white population three to two, and the census record covers 143 households. The manuscript itself is faded but readable, and every name in the document has been recovered.
