A rare children's book printed by Knebel, one of the most important publishers of Russian picture books. This copy is inscribed 'Barto' on the upper cover, which could perhaps be t he famous Soviet children's writer, Agniia Barto.Folio (29.5 x 21.5 cm); 24pp. illustrated throughout, the first and last illustrations are printed upside down, repairs to spine and some tape repairs to short tears; original printed wrappers, loss to margin of upper cover, ink ownership and gift inscription to upper cover, a fair copy.
