A list of the Catholic Seminarians at Montreal Grand Seminary in the early 1880s, giving date of ordination, where they were stationed, subsequent positions, date of death if known , etc. Especially poignant is "Eugene A. Dean. Diocese of Springfield. No orders. Sick throughout course. Died Sept. 22 /84. R.I.P." Perhaps rather amusing to modern readers is the note attached to William Sherman: "This unfortunate Priest, a slave to his passions, and totally forgetful of Christ and Church, entered into the contract of marriage, June 24 1886 in New York City, with 'Tillie' McCoy!!!"
