The flagship model of the Aerodyne series, featuring a modern design. Judging by the "Crafted in Japan" label and the "Q" serial number, this is believed to be a model manufactured between 2002 and 2004 during the period when it was assembled by Dyna Gakki. The Fender Japan AJB-58 combines the wide range of sound-shaping possibilities offered by the PJ pickup layout with a sophisticated look. The arched-top basswood body is accented with body binding, and the matching headstock adds a striking visual presence. It features a stylish design that sets it apart from typical Jazz Basses. The pickup configuration features a PJ layout, combining a Precision Bass-style pickup with a Jazz Bass-style pickup. The front pickup delivers thick, powerful bass, while adding the rear pickup produces a well-defined, clear sound, making it suitable for a wide range of genres from rock to pop. The 2-volume, 1-tone control configuration allows for intuitive tone shaping. There are signs of wear, such as scratches and dents, throughout the instrument. Signs of aging, such as rust and tarnish, are visible on the metal parts. There is paint peeling on the back of the body, and scratches, dents, and discoloration on the back of the neck.
