Safety isolating transformers connect to the 230v mains supply and provide an output at 110v. It can be tricky to select the correct 110v transformer for use with emergency vehicle shoreline system, as the power output rating published on websites tends to be that for intermittent use. With emergency vehicles, the transformer has to be able to continually provide sufficient current. Known as the continual rating, this is often significantly less than the intermittent rating.
