Samuel is an engineer-turned-educator with a background in agricultural engineering and electrical and computer engineering. Over the past 15 years, he has tutored students from middle school through university in math, physics, and programming, helping learners tackle everything from fractions and algebra to calculus, mechanics, and Python. Samuel’s sessions follow a simple but powerful pattern: diagnose what a student understands, model how to approach a problem, then guide the learner in solving a similar one independently. He emphasizes deep conceptual understanding, shows multiple paths to a solution, and constantly connects new ideas to what students already know. Samuel is experienced working with learners who have ADHD and with gifted students, and he tailors explanations, pacing, and practice to keep everyone challenged but not overwhelmed. Outside of tutoring, Samuel enjoys gardening, caring for bees, and working on sustainability projects—interests that often inspire real-world examples in his lessons.
