750ml/40% ABV Overview ArteNOM Selección de 1146 Añejo Tequila is a distinguished spirit crafted under the expertise of Master Distiller Enrique Fonseca at Casa Tequileña (NOM 1146) in Tequila, Jalisco, Mexico. This añejo tequila is made from 100% Blue Weber agave, showcasing the essence of traditional tequila-making combined with innovative aging techniques. Production Process Agave Source: 100% Blue Weber agave grown in the highlands near Atotonilco el Alto, Jalisco. Aging: A unique multi-barrel aging process: 60% is aged for 2 years in French oak barrels. 40% is aged for 3 years in French oak barrels. The blend is then aged together for an additional year in American white oak barrels, previously used for aging either Canadian whiskey or Tennessee rye whiskey, leading to a total aging period of nearly 3 years. Tasting Notes Aroma: Cooked agave, oak, vanilla, caramel, cinnamon, chocolate, and subtle fruity hints of cherry. Palate: A rich combination of cooked agave, dark chocolate, orange zest, pecan pie, and toffee, offering a balanced experience between agave sweetness and barrel influences. Finish: Long, dry, and sweet, with lingering notes of oak and spice.
