Product Details Manufacturer Part Number: 116-6316 Brand: Toro Part Type: Extension Spring Category Code: 2PX System: Deck / linkage / tensioning assemblies Function: Provides controlled tension and return force Material: High-strength spring steel OEM Status: Genuine Toro OEM replacement Function Maintains proper tension in mechanical linkages Returns components smoothly to their resting position Supports consistent and reliable equipment operation Compatible With Toro Equipment The Toro 116-6316 Extension Spring is used on select Toro lawn and turf equipment, commonly found in: Mower deck tensioning systems Drive and engagement linkages Return spring applications within control assemblies (Exact compatibility depends on the specific Toro model and configuration.) How It’s Used This extension spring installs between two designated mounting points where tension is required. As the connected component moves, the spring stretches to provide resistance and then returns the component smoothly when released. Proper installation and correct orientation are essential to achieve the intended tension and performance. Suggested Maintenance Inspect the spring regularly for stretching, corrosion, or deformation Ensure spring hooks remain securely seated Replace the spring if tension weakens or cracking is observed Keep surrounding components clean to prevent premature wear The Toro 116-6316 Extension Spring is used in OEM-specified Toro assemblies where accurate tension control, durability, and dependable mechanical performance are essential.
