Jasper County, Missouri was created in 1841 out of Barry County which inturn was carved out of Greene County. It is located in the southwestern corner of the state boarding Kansas. This history is extremely similar to the one's that Goodspeed Publishing produced on the state of Missouri. A very through history of the county is given along with a very large genealogical / biographical sketch section. Until now, using this book for research has been very difficult.
