Virginia Colonial Abstracts, Series 2, Volume 6 Prince George was created in 1703 from Charles City County and in turn it gave birth to Brunswick and Dinwiddle Counties. Many of th e county's records were destroyed by fire during the Revolutionary and Civil Wars.
