The dragonfly 5-string bass is now in stock. This is the CS 5-string bass, an original model from Dragonfly—a Japanese brand known for its distinctive designs and popular among pro fessional musicians. The body, featuring a spalted maple top on a mahogany base, is compact and easy to hold, with a rounded shape that offers an exceptional fit. The neck features a satin finish, and the fingerboard is likely made of rosewood or pau ferro. The bridge, which supports both through-body and top-loading string routing, allows for individual string tension adjustment, and the deep cutaway ensures excellent playability in the higher frets. A comprehensive set of controls—including master volume, balancer, tone, 3-band EQ, mid-frequency control, and an active/passive switch—enables a wide range of sound shaping. There are numerous fine scratches and dents scattered throughout the body. While it shows some signs of use, it has been fully serviced and cleaned at our repair center, and playability is excellent.
