A limited-edition Flying V featuring a standard-equipped Kela tremolo has arrived. Released in August 2008 as part of the “Guitar of the Month” concept—a series featuring a limited-edition model each month—this model is one of only 1,000 made worldwide. It features a jet-black finish on the mahogany body and neck, an ebony fingerboard with black dot inlays, and black hardware, creating a distinctly metal-inspired look. It comes standard with two EMG 85 pickups and, as the name suggests, is designed for shred guitarists. Instead of a Floyd Rose, it is deliberately equipped with a Kahler bridge, which enables smooth whammy bar action, a wide range of intonation adjustment in both up and down directions, and stable tuning. The design, which does not lock the strings at the bridge, combined with the use of Grover locking tuners, allows for quick string changes. Since this model is extremely rare on the used market, we highly recommend considering it if you’re interested. The frets from the 15th to the 22nd have been hand-scalloped, but this does not affect playability. While there are numerous fine scratches and dents scattered throughout the instrument, indicating some signs of use, it has been fully serviced and cleaned at our repair center, and playability is excellent. Condition Grade: B+: Some scratches are present, but they do not interfere with normal use Serial Number: 017780300 Year of Manufacture: 2008 Country of Manufacture: United States Case: Genuine hard case Accessories: Arm Weight: 3.74 kg Truss Rod: No issues; checked up to 60 degrees to the left and right with no problems Remaining Fret Life: Within normal range; fret height is sufficient for playing String Height (Low String Side): 2.0 mm at the 12th fret String action (treble side): 1.5 mm at the 12th fret Nut width: 43.0 mm Neck thickness near the 1st fret: 20.6 mm Neck thickness near the 12th fret: 22.0 mm Scale: 628 mm (24.75") RADIUS: 305 mm (12") Strings at Setup: D'Addario EXL110 / .010-.046 set Repairs and Maintenance Performed: Cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, action adjustment, electronics cleaning * As this is a used item, there may be scratches, dents, and other imperfections that are not clearly visible in the photos or not listed here.
