Zildjian 12" K Series Splash Cymbal at a Glance: Great performance, classic sound Cast bronze for premium tone and projection Great performance, classic sound If you want a sound that's always in style, choose K Zildjian cymbals. The innovative cymbal work of Art Blakey, Elvin Jones, Tony Williams, or any one of a sweeping collection of the greatest drummers in history (including some talented folks here at Sweetwater) has benefited from the sound and performance of K Zildjian cymbals. Cast bronze for premium tone and projection K Series cymbals, like all Zildjian cast bronze cymbals, are individually poured and cast from raw molten metal. Each casting is cooled and sorted by weight for each cymbal model. Castings are then put through a complex sequence of heating, rolling, shaping, hammering, and lathing techniques unique to each cymbal range. Cast bronze cymbals have a rich, full-bodied sound that improves with age. They also have greater projection, clarity, and durability than any other cymbals. Zildjian cast cymbals are made from the Zildjian secret alloy, which is composed of 80% copper, 20% tin, and traces of silver.
