Producer Husband and wife team Selina Kelly (sales and marketing) and Andre Bondar (winemaker and vineyard manager) first started their label in 2013 and have steadily built upon it each year. They acquired the Rayner Vineyard, one of the best sites in McLaren Vale, set on a hillside between Blewitt Springs and Seaview sub-regions. The vines were planted in the 1950's to Grenache and Shiraz, some of the vines being untrellised bush vines. They aim to make pure, fine-boned, aromatic expressions of their site and variety. They certainly manage to do that and at a very resonable price tag. Tasting Note Junto in Spanish means 'together', and this wine is three varieties coming together: Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro, a blend commonly known in Australia as GSM made famous by the Southern Rhône region, 'Côtes Du Rhône'. It's vibrant, aromatic, fine-boned and has plenty of crunchy red fruit and savoury spice. The perfect bottle to satisfy all taste buds.
