Producer Naomi and Ben Gould are passionate organic and biodynamic farmers who risked it all in 2005 and sold their house to purchase their first vineyard in Wilyabrup, Margaret River. Their intention was to make good wine for good people at accessible prices. Blind Corner now has a broad range of varieties, winemaking styles and blends, all made honestly without the use of additions, except for some sulphur at bottling, and of course, everything is organic and biodynamic. Tasting Note A field blend, including Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, and Pinot Grigio, but varying from year to year, all fermented on skins for a few days to extract colour, flavour, and texture, then pressed into a concrete egg for the remainder of the ferment. The resulting wine is, of course, orange in appearance with superb aromatics like peach and apple. It is lively, textural, and seamless. It is a great entry point to the world of orange or amber wine.
