PTFE Split Seal - a split polytetrafluoroethylene sealing ring used in the variable cam timing (VCT) gear of the AJ-series V8 petrol engine. The seal sits within the variable valve timing assembly, sealing the oil-fed phaser that advances and retards camshaft timing under engine control.
