On offer is a fragment from a printed British Military document from the office of General Sir Henry Fane, bearing his signature. General Fane GCB (1778-1840) commanded brigades un der Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington during several battles of the Peninsular War, and served both as a member of Parliament and Commander-in-Chief of India. This signature is on a cut vellum document measuring 10-1/2 x 2-1/4 inches. There is no date, and the page shows age toning, minor discolouration, and a rolling edge. Condition is Good. Show more
