Edward Allen Talbot (b. 1796 d. January 6, 1839) was an inventor, militia officer, schoolmaster, author, and journalist whose career took him Canada, the United States, and back to Europe. In these volumes he describes various developing Canadian communities, wild animals, trees, farming, laws and government. He then describes his short visit to the U.S.A.
