Jennings Tofel This early-mid 20th century ink on paper figure scene is by Polish-born New York Expressionist Jennings Tofel (1891-1959). Tofel was a friend of Georgia O'Keefe and Alfred Stieglitz. Tofel was a WPA artist. He received an art grant to work in Paris in the 1920s. His work is in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
