Originally issued in 30 monthly parts bound in printed paper wrappers, each with four engravings and eight or twelve pages of text; also issued in quarterly instalments. Undated, b ut printed after 1863 when the New York firm moved to Dey Street, where it continued into the 1870s. Also printed during use of form "Virtue and Co." by London firm, between 1865 and 1875. Map engraved by W. Hughes with plates by numerous individuals. A lovely copy of this early portrayal of Canadian life and scenery. Show more
