Also known as Undecylenal, IFF Intreleven Aldehyde, 10-undecenal or simply Aldehyde C-11 ISO, this colorless to pale yellow clear liquid showcases a high odor strength and exudes a mesmerizing blend of citrus, waxy, and aldehydic notes, beautifully complemented by green, mandarin, and soapy nuances. This grade has 1337-83-3 as a CAS number and generic Aldehyde C-11's cas number is 112-45-8. The difference lies in the ratio of isomers in the mixture, with Intreleven Aldehyde having more of the desirable isomers, hence the better quality. It has been a staple in perfumery since the early 20th century. It first gained fame in the iconic fragrance Chanel No. 5, where its aldehydic qualities contributed to the perfume's signature allure and lasting power. Perfect for adding an air of sophistication to any fragrance composition, this exceptional ingredient is recommended to be smelled in a 1% solution or less. Its impressive substantivity on paper, lasting up to 380 hours, ensures that the scent journey is both enduring and delightful. Show more
