Jennings Tofel This early to mid 20th century ink on paper abstracted figurative scene is by Polish-born New York Expressionist Jennings Tofel (1891-1959). Tofel was a friend of Ge orgia O'Keefe and Alfred Stieglitz. He received an art grant to work in Paris in the 1920s. His work is in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian and the Whitney Museum of American Art. Tofel is known for his allegorical, Expressionist figurative scenes. Early-Mid 20th Century Ink and Pen on Paper 11"x11" framed, 3.5"x3.5" unframed Signed on the lower left. Excellent vintage condition.
