Takom brings the M48A5 to 1/35 scale with this brilliant model kit About the Tank The M48 was developed in the United States, and is a post-WWII first-generation main battle tank, nicknamed "Patton." The M48A3 is an improved version, with the M48A1 engine replaced with a diesel and equipped with a new fire control device. The M48A5 is the final model of the series that replaces the existing M48A1-A3 main gun with a 53-caliber 105mm tank gun M68, changes the coaxial machine gun to the M60E2, and replaces the power pack with the same one used by the M60.
