This rare and exciting collection contains an Indian Head Penny dated from 1861 to 1865, a $20 confederate note printed between 1861 and 1864 and a 1995 Civil War Commemorative Half Dollar. The Indian Head Penny was minted from 1859 to 1909. The 95 percent copper penny was designed by James B. Longacre and titled Liberty with head dress. The obverse features the words United States of America encircling Liberty wearing a feather head dress. The reverse features a wreath and shield encircling the words One Cent. The $20 Confederate note was minted from 1861 to 1864. Their designs vary from year to year. The 1995 Civil War Battlefields Half Dollar was to commemorative 100 years of Civil War battlefields preservation.
